IOP with Flexible Scheduling and Virtual Options
Both morning and evening options are offered so clients can fit treatment around work, family, education, and other facets of day-to-day life. Morning sessions run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday, and evening sessions take place between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Three days per week are required for the IOP, but clients can choose to attend more sessions per week to complete the program faster. For those who don’t have reliable transportation or need to receive treatment from home for any reason, a fully virtual IOP is offered through telehealth.
Treatment for Co-Occurring Concerns
Substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health, and emotional dysregulation are treated together. These may include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief, and mood disorders which may underlie or contribute to substance use. Therapies used by clinicians encompass cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and motivational interviewing.
Individual Therapy, Group Programming, and Medication Management
Along with frequent group therapy, clients attend a one-on-one session with a therapist every week. This allows for focused attention on individual needs and goals. Clients with co-occurring mental health conditions also meet one-on-one with a psychiatrist. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and mental health medications can be prescribed as appropriate for each client’s situation.
Family Therapy and Holistic Options
Therapy and education sessions that involve loved ones in the process are offered throughout the program. This can help families heal together and learn to provide informed support for the client, both during treatment and beyond. Clients are taught relapse prevention and recovery skills they can use long-term. Holistic methods including yoga, mindfulness, and art therapy are also part of the IOP and are offered to complement evidence-based therapies, allowing clients to explore these avenues and see what works for them.
Pre-Admissions Experience
We conducted a series of pre-admissions calls, the most recent on June 3, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.
When we reached out to Skywood Outpatient, the admissions team was responsive and approachable. They walked us through treatment planning, the clinical team, and morning and evening schedules. The conversation felt helpful and the representative was caring, though the interaction was somewhat brief.
