Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who are able to safely live at home but still need structured substance use treatment; are stepping down after withdrawal management (detox) or residential treatment; are stable in early recovery and want continued accountability; may be working professionals, students, parents, and others who need day, evening, virtual, or hybrid options; may have substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns; and may be recovering from opioid or alcohol use disorders and benefit from MAT alongside counseling.
Not a fit if: Adults who are in need of 24/7 supervision, overnight residential care, or on-site detox, or are not willing to take part in structured outpatient treatment.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Assessment and treatment planning: During admission, clients undergo an initial assessment that covers substance use, mental health, physical health, and social circumstances. A medical assessment will also be conducted when appropriate. The care team uses this information to determine a level of care. Clients work directly with the team to establish their goals and determine a personalized treatment plan.
- Adjusting care: Care plans are typically reassessed every 4–6 weeks. Goals and treatment intensity may evolve as the client progresses in recovery. This may include moving from PHP into the less time-intensive schedule of IOP if determined to be appropriate.
Who you will meet with
- Treatment team: Master’s-level therapists and medical staff work with clients to address substance use and mental health concerns, while case managers coordinate care and support. Psychiatrists may support clients with evaluations and medication management when needed.
- Individual and group support: Clients meet with an individual therapist at least weekly to work through personal challenges and treatment goals. Group leaders interact with clients during group sessions and help them build recovery skills, share experiences, and connect with peers.
Typical schedule
- Treatment schedules: PHP takes place 5 days per week for 5–6 hours per day, while IOP involves 3-hour sessions that take place 3–5 days per week. This includes day and evening options in virtual and hybrid formats.
- Therapy approaches: Individual sessions may focus on personal challenges and treatment goals, while group therapy provides an opportunity to process experiences, build recovery skills, and connect with peers. Evidence-based therapies may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
- Family education and wellness: Family education and coaching may be available to help clients and their loved ones address relationships and learn about healthy boundaries. Wellness, mindfulness, and 12-step or other peer-support principles may also be part of care.
Aftercare
- Alumni connections: Clients may have access to weekly alumni meetings, mentorship, social and educational events, and community service opportunities. The facility’s broader alumni association may also offer recovery meetings and events, which may provide continued connection to peers.
- Ongoing recovery support: Recovery coaching, ongoing therapy referrals, and vocational support may be available to help clients stay connected to care and work toward practical goals once they have completed formal treatment.

View all facilities in FloridaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
