Structured Opioid Recovery for Men

The 90-day, high-intensity residential program is designed for adult men working to overcome opioid addiction. This 16-bed facility provides a quiet setting with easy access to local Heroin Anonymous (HA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. Gender-specific 12-step groups are offered. The environment is warm and modest, with private or shared rooms and a common area for fellowship. The center balances calm surroundings with access to vital recovery resources.

Treatment for Veterans and High-Need Groups

The center provides a respectful environment for veterans recovering from opioid addiction, with services tailored to those managing trauma or chronic pain. The program encourages connection through peer support and shared experience. In addition to veteran care, the facility serves men from other high-need groups, including those with a history of housing instability. Case management and housing support are available to help men rebuild their lives with a renewed sense of purpose.

Focused Care for Co-Occurring Conditions

The program is designed for clients managing both substance use and mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, or chronic pain. Each client participates in evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation. Individual, group, family, and couples counseling foster emotional connection and long-term healing.

Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

Clients receive on-site medication support, including buprenorphine-based treatments and extended-release formulations. MAT services are available both in-house and in coordination with external providers, and the facility also supports smoking cessation and mental health medication management.

Integrated Recovery Support and Aftercare

From the beginning of care, clients work with staff to develop personalized aftercare plans that support long-term recovery. Northstar helps connect clients with transitional housing, local recovery meetings, and continued access to medications and therapy. Peer mentoring is woven into the program to support community building and accountability beyond treatment.
