Northland treats substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns within the same plan of care. Services include individual, group, and family counseling, along with medication management supported by licensed clinicians, a psychiatrist, and certified nurse practitioners. Evidence-based approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, relapse prevention, substance use counseling, and 12-step facilitation. The program also supports clients who are already using medications for addiction treatment (MAT) prescribed elsewhere.

Outpatient substance use services include morning, day, and evening group options, plus intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment for those who need a higher frequency of support while living at home. The program also offers a DWI class and recovery supports such as case management, peer support, housing services, and help connecting with social services, with discharge planning and continuing care to support next steps after treatment.
