Women-Only Residential Care With Two Phases

New Hope Manor’s Barryville site provides women-only residential care that moves from stabilization to rehabilitation. The stabilization phase is designed for women who need support with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and medical or psychiatric concerns without hospital-level care. Schedules can be adjusted during this phase so clients start treatment safely while building coping skills and daily structure, with treatment planning revisited regularly before transitioning into more intensive rehabilitation.

Trauma-Informed Treatment With Informed Medication Choices

Rehab includes daily clinical programming that may include individual counseling, group counseling, psychotherapy, and psychoeducational groups. The approach is trauma-informed, using methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and 12-step facilitation. Clients are educated on treatment options and take part in informed decisions about medication and behavioral supports, including medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders when appropriate.

Pregnancy and Parenting Support in Residence

The center also offers support for pregnant women and mothers with young children. A Mother and Infant Program helps clients stay engaged in care while parenting, including a children’s resource room and child care services. Family, marital, and couples counseling may also be part of treatment, helping clients work on communication and family stability alongside recovery goals.

A Nature-Based Campus With Job Readiness and Transition Planning

The Barryville campus is designed to feel home-like and collaborative, giving women space to step away from everyday triggers while staying connected to structured care. The setting includes outdoor and indoor amenities that support routine and healthy downtime, such as walking paths, recreation areas, a pool, fitness space, and a business or computer area. Vocational services include counseling, training, and certification opportunities, with reintegration services available through the organization’s Poughkeepsie location. Discharge planning and aftercare coordination are built into the program, including housing and appointment planning, medication management planning, and overdose education.
