Adolescent-Focused Residential Care
Madrona Recovery serves only teens, offering a dedicated setting for youth navigating mental health and substance use disorders. The small, 23-bed facility features semi-private and private rooms along with accessible outdoor spaces, creating an environment that feels secure, calm, and age-appropriate.
Trauma-Informed, Skill-Centered Therapy
The program delivers trauma-informed care rooted in evidence-based practices seven days a week, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing. Expressive options like music and arts, yoga, and recreational activities support teens in building emotional regulation, self-awareness, and coping skills.
Medication and Withdrawal Management
On-site detox is available for substances like alcohol, opioids, and stimulants, with medication options including buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Suboxone. The clinical team also manages psychiatric medications to support co-occurring mental health needs, ensuring safety and continuity of care throughout treatment.
Family and Guardian Support
Family involvement is a central part of treatment at Madrona. Weekly therapy sessions, virtual parent groups, and a comprehensive handbook help parents and guardians stay engaged and informed. This support continues after discharge through alumni check-ins and follow-up guidance.
Structured Yet Flexible Treatment Path
Most clients stay between 30–45 days, with adjustments based on individual needs. Daily routines include individual and group therapy, education time, journaling, outdoor activity, and skills practice, helping teens develop habits that prepare them to return to home and school life with greater resilience.
What Patients Say
Clients often describe feeling safe and understood at Madrona Recovery, noting strong connections with staff and peers and a facility that feels clean and well maintained. Some have expressed concerns about medication use or varying family therapy experiences, but many report leaving with practical tools and a renewed sense of hope.
