Structured Residential Recovery in Chicago

Henry’s Sober Living House provides 24/7 residential support in Chicago’s South Side communities. Residents follow daily routines with group and individual counseling, 12-step facilitation, relapse-prevention education, and peer mentoring. Smoking and vaping are permitted. Programs serve young adults, older men, seniors, and justice-involved clients, offering a community-based environment focused on accountability and stability.

Access to Care and MAT Referrals

While the facility itself does not provide detox, residents are linked to outside detox and outpatient services as needed. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine and naltrexone, can be accessed through referrals, paired with counseling and peer recovery coaching to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.

Real-Life Support and Education

Case management helps residents with obtaining identification, benefits, and social services. Transportation assistance makes it easier to attend appointments, while referrals to GED programs and job training with employment placement help clients rebuild stability. Health education, covering HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and tobacco cessation, reinforces long-term wellness in recovery.
