The hotel-like setting features shared rooms, smart TVs, comfortable bedding, and private half-baths, providing a calming setting that helps clients navigate withdrawal with greater physical and emotional comfort. Meals are served hot three times a day, and clients have 24/7 access to snacks and beverages.

Onsite Medical Detox With MAT Options

The Minneapolis facility provides medically managed detox services for alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and methamphetamines, and offers medications for withdrawal management. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) are available for opioid use disorder, and the facility accommodates clients who enter treatment with prescriptions from external providers. Medications are also prescribed and administered onsite.

Support for Co-Occurring and Complex Diagnoses

Gateway specializes in stabilizing clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including those navigating trauma, chronic pain, or HIV. The program also supports veterans, active duty service members, and their families, offering trauma-informed care rooted in an understanding of these lived experiences.
