Flexible outpatient care with two levels of support
Outpatient programs allow clients to live at home while getting the level of support they need while in treatment. Discovery Recovery Portland has a PHP program available for clients who need more intensive treatments and an IOP for those who are balancing treatment with school, work, or family. Clients can step down from PHP to IOP as they progress.
Treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions
Treatment addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, both those that are already diagnosed and those that may not yet have been recognized. Comprehensive psychiatric assessments ensure that all client needs are identified so that they can be addressed in individualized treatment plans. The facility uses a team-based approach to keep care consistent.
Research-backed treatment combined with holistic therapies
Proven clinical therapy techniques, including individual, group, and family therapy, are used, and MAT is available when clinically appropriate. These are complemented by holistic therapies, like expressive arts, mindfulness, and breathwork.
Treatment plans adapt with progress
Care plans adjust as clients progress through treatment. Changes can include tailoring the frequency of therapy, group participation, and family involvement. Clients establish goals with their care team at admission, and members of the clinical staff continue to communicate throughout treatment to ensure adjustments are made to help meet these goals.
Strong emphasis on life after treatment
Recovery planning is a key part of the program. It includes relapse prevention planning, family counseling and education, and establishing connections with community resources. Transitions into therapy or ongoing support groups are planned ahead of discharge.
