No-Cost, Long-Term Recovery for Men

The program consists of a six to nine-month stay at a residential recovery home. The home offers bilingual, trauma-informed treatment for adult men with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Rooted in more than 40 years of service to Latine communities, the program provides care in both Spanish and English, supporting individuals as they work toward long-term stability and independence. The program is dedicated to underserved communities, and all services are offered at no cost to clients.

An Integrated Model of Care

At the heart of the center’s approach is the Integrated CasaCare Model, which combines behavioral health, primary medical care, and case management under one roof. Each resident collaborates with a team of caregivers to build a personal treatment plan that aligns with their health goals. In addition to clinical therapy, participants receive education on relapse prevention, medication support, and recovery-oriented life skills. These include risk assessment, critical thinking, and conflict resolution.

Case Management and Practical Support

Residents can access help with housing, employment, and social services, as well as educational support and employment training. Help finding employment can also be provided. The program offers parenting classes, supervised visitation, and HIV prevention and counseling. Services are adapted to support men facing serious mental illness, homelessness, or reentry after incarceration.

Peer Connection and Community

Peer support is central to the organization’s services. Residents participate in group therapy, recovery-focused activities, and social events designed to foster connection and reduce isolation. Twelve-step groups and meetings are held to give men a long-term link to this longstanding community. This approach helps residents build confidence and create lasting relationships to support sustained recovery after discharge.

Medication Management and MAT

The center offers comprehensive medication management, supporting individuals using medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and mental health stabilization. Staff coordinate with in-network and contracted providers to ensure continuity of care. Certain medications can be prescribed on-site. The program welcomes residents already receiving MAT and provides ongoing monitoring, education, and counseling to help patients safely manage their medications.
