Riverfront Setting for Healing

The calm, waterfront environment of the facility can help to reduce outside stressors and support reflection. This includes modern housing and common rooms with river views. Gender-specific groups are available. Designated smoking and vaping areas are available to help clients manage nicotine while in care. Transportation assistance can be arranged, easing access for those within a several-hour radius.

Medically Monitored Detox

Care begins with a comprehensive medical and mental health assessment to plan a safe, individualized detox. Clinicians provide 24/7 monitoring and medications for addiction treatment (MAT) as appropriate to manage withdrawal symptoms. Chef-prepared, nutritious meals are served, and staff make sure clients stay hydrated and get lots of rest.

Evidence-Based and Holistic Support with Adventure Therapies

Therapists provide evidence-based therapy, trauma-related counseling, and relapse prevention guidance. To support whole-person recovery, clients participate in yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, art therapy, and equine therapy. Faith-based services are available for those who opt in. This blend of clinical and holistic support aims to reduce symptoms, build coping skills, and improve emotional regulation.

Dedicated Programs for First Responders & Veterans

Specialized recovery tracks are offered for first responders and veterans. These tracks address occupational trauma, grief, moral injury, sleep disturbance, and co-occurring mental health concerns often seen in high-stress roles. The goal is to pair a confidential, structured environment with targeted supports that acknowledge service-related stressors and foster recovery skills clients can carry back to work, home, and community.

12-Step and SMART Recovery Options

Clients can engage with both 12-step facilitation and SMART Recovery, choosing the pathway that fits their values and goals. Twelve-step work introduces meeting participation, sponsorship concepts, and community support. SMART Recovery provides a secular, skills-based framework focused on motivation, coping with urges, problem solving, and lifestyle balance. Staff help clients sample both models, identify a sustainable fit, and map aftercare plans meetings for post-discharge continuity.

Case Management and Practical Assistance

Case management can assist with housing services, employment counseling or training, and obtaining social services. Education includes overdose prevention and naloxone. Family counseling and education aim to improve communication and boundaries at home. For clients using MAT, staff help coordinate with outside prescribers and community prescribers.
