Structured Outpatient Care with Supportive Housing
Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks offers a 90-day outpatient program designed for adults needing extended support while maintaining daily routines. The program combines clinical services with access to structured sober housing through a local partner, allowing clients to engage in full-day treatment and return to a supervised, home-like environment each evening. This real-world structure supports long-term recovery with daily therapy, dual diagnosis treatment, and life skills development to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
12-Step Foundation and Family Involvement
Programs feature onsite 12-step meetings including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), strong peer support, mentorship, and an emphasis on mutual accountability. Family participation and connection are woven into care plans. Loved ones are encouraged to join clients in family and couples counseling sessions.
Comprehensive Aftercare Planning
From the beginning of treatment, the staff creates aftercare plans adapted to each client’s needs. These include finding a primary care doctor and therapist, connection with local 12-step and other community support groups, and help securing housing as needed. Employment guidance is also provided, including assistance with resumes, applications, and preparation for reentering the workforce.
Thriving Alumni Community
After discharge, clients are encouraged to become part of an active alumni network. This offers a way to form lasting friendships and find mutual support. Alumni organize frequent events and recreational outings and participate in weekly group meetings, either in person or online. An online network where members can chat with each other is also available. Counselors regularly check in on clients’ progress to see how they are doing and provide additional guidance.
