Opioid-focused outpatient care with a focus on medication, therapy, and connection
This outpatient opioid addiction treatment program combines MAT with mandatory individual counseling. Clients can also attend optional group counseling, receive medical care, and find peer support. Medication is seen as a tool to help clients address challenges connected to substance use, rebuild relationships, and establish new support systems. The goal is to help them build a foundation for long-term recovery.
Time commitment decreases as clients progress
Clients must commit to visiting the clinic six days a week for both medication and counseling, a relatively intense schedule for this type of outpatient program. As they progress, clients can receive take-home medication doses and make fewer clinic visits. How quickly someone progresses through the program depends on each client. Various factors can impact how long a client stays in the program; for example, some may choose to stay on MAT long-term. Others may want to taper off it which can shorten their time in the program.
Required counseling sessions and optional support
Each client works with a primary therapist for individual counseling. These mandatory sessions are included at no additional charge. Optional groups are also available that focus on topics like relapse prevention, life skills, grief and loss, and stress management. There are also men’s and women’s groups, groups for veterans, and a peer-run Methadone Anonymous group.
Medical monitoring beyond medication dosing
Alliance Recovery Center focuses on treating the whole person. Clients get a complete physical exam upon admission to the program and a repeat exam every year. A medical team of physicians, pharmacists, and nurses is available for any health concerns. The team also monitors how medications are working and makes adjustments when needed. Peer specialists are also available to offer support, drawing on their own journeys with recovery.

A few describe feeling unsupported or dissatisfied with clinical decision-making. "I can really see an improvement in her and she’s really focused."
- Support & community (100% positive): Clients frequently describe feeling welcomed, encouraged, and connected through staff support, counseling, and group experiences. Reviewers especially note the sense of connection they find with staff and peers. "They treat you like family and not just like a number!"
- Access & process (70% positive): Positive reviews mention guest dosing, affordability, efficient visits, and help navigating care. Some clients suggest the facility could improve communication, paperwork handling, timeliness, and consistency around continued access to treatment.
- Facility & environment (100% positive): Reviews describing the physical or overall setting consistently mention a clean, safe, welcoming, and less clinical-feeling environment. "It’s not sterile and cold and lifeless like other facilities."
