Specialized Care Tailored to Veterans’ Experiences

The HONOR Veteran’s Program is grounded in the STAR model—Strength, Therapeutic, Adaptable, Recovery—adapting care to each individual’s background and goals. By coordinating with VA physicians and recognizing the complex relationship between substance use and service-related trauma, the program offers care that speaks directly to the lived experiences of veterans—building trust, reducing isolation, and helping clients reconnect to a sense of purpose.

Unique Outdoor Movement to Promote Wellness & Reduce Stress

Experiential therapies—such as equine-assisted sessions, expressive arts, and psychodrama—help reduce stress, support personal growth, and build meaningful post-treatment hobbies. Aquatic therapy brings clients into new settings, like kayaking or float tanks, and uses water’s calming effects to ease anxiety and promote emotional regulation. This “Blue Mind” approach is supported by research linking water environments to reduced cortisol and increased serotonin, making it especially powerful in early recovery.

Holistic Therapies to Improve Mental and Physical Wellness

Rather than separating clinical and alternative care, Spring Gardens integrates both into one cohesive model. Clients receive evidence-based treatments alongside holistic services like massage, acupuncture, reiki, and reflexology. The program also supports clients seeking a non-12-step recovery pathway, with a strong emphasis on mindfulness and whole-person care. Nutritional therapy, Eastern healing practices, and daily sessions with a private yoga instructor help support physical and emotional wellness throughout treatment.

Restorative Setting and Private Comfort

This calming, residential environment features yoga, massage, and meditation spaces that invite quiet reflection. Clients eat together at kitchen tables, with meals served fresh and accommodating to dietary preferences, making it feel more like a home than a clinical facility. The setting is intentionally warm and human, offering comfort and dignity at a vulnerable time in the recovery process.

What Clients Say

Reviews consistently highlight the compassion and professionalism of staff, the peaceful environment, and the overall impact of treatment. Many describe their stay as “life-changing,” noting how the program helped them feel safe, respected, and truly supported. Clients also praise the quality of the food and the tranquil, home-like setting.
