Naturally Restorative Setting with Luxurious Amenities

The beautiful desert location of the facility lends itself to healing in a multitude of ways. Clients can enjoy hiking on natural trails, test their skills on a climbing wall, view wildlife, and enjoy the sunshine swimming in a large outdoor pool. A yoga pavilion and labyrinth are also located onsite. When not enjoying the outdoors, clients reside in private rooms with personal bathrooms and have access to spacious common areas, relaxing hot tubs, and rooms designated for art and music.

Advanced Trauma-Informed Therapies

The facility offers a wide range of therapies designed to address trauma and its underlying processes. Neurofeedback aims to train brainwave patterns toward reduced anxiety and greater emotional regulation. Deep brain reorienting (DBR) involves working with early brain responses tied to attachment trauma. Brainspotting uses eye positioning to access and safely release emotional pain. These therapies support healing by helping clients process trauma responses and build lasting resilience.

Equine Therapy and Holistic Care

Equine-assisted psychotherapy is offered on-campus, led by a trained, master’s level equine specialist. For many clients, bonding with and caring for horses can help foster deep emotional healing. Clients can also enjoy yoga, meditation, massage therapy, and weekend outings. An in-house chef serves nutritious meals daily, helping to restore both the body and mind.

Inclusive and Continuous Support

The facility accepts and provides compassionate support for clients of many backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, aviation professionals, veterans, seniors, and clients living with HIV/AIDS. Extended-stay options are available for those who need them, and an alumni program offers community and accountability to clients long after their residential stay.

Client Reviews

Clients describe Sabino as a transformative place to heal from deep-rooted trauma, highlighting its expert staff, personalized care, and tranquil setting. While most reviews are highly positive, some note areas for improvement in discharge planning and administrative processes, especially for clients with complex psychiatric needs.
