Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who are transitioning from residential treatment and want continued support and accountability; need treatment for both substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns; are looking to strengthen coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery support systems; want ongoing guidance while building a foundation for long-term recovery; have private insurance or can self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Individuals who need medical detoxification, withdrawal management, or 24-hour supervision; are seeking residential treatment at this location; prefer luxury accommodations or resort-style amenities; are looking for a primarily alternative, holistic, or non-clinical treatment approach.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Assessment and level of care recommendations: Before treatment, an evaluation is done to determine the most appropriate level of care. Recommendations are based on substance use history, mental health needs, physical health, recovery history, life and work responsibilities, and relapse risks and support systems.
  • Personalized treatment planning: Care plans are personalized and fit each client's needs. Planning includes relapse prevention, family involvement, education, and preparation for ongoing recovery after treatment.

Who you will meet with

  • Primary counselors: A primary counselor is assigned to work with the client throughout their stay. Additional counseling staff is available for support if the primary counselor is not present. Clients will also work with licensed counselors during group therapy.
  • Physicians and medical providers: Physicians may meet with clients weekly in PHP and provide medication management when appropriate. They track treatment progress, address personal medical and mental health issues, and help clients on their recovery journey.

Typical schedule

  • PHP: Partial hospitalization includes at least 20 hours of structured treatment time each week. Clients also take part in the Positive Recovery curriculum, evidence-based therapies, and recreational or experiential activities. Activities may include music and art appreciation.
  • IOP: Clients in IOP can expect about 9-12 hours of treatment per week across 3-4 days. Programs generally last approximately eight weeks and may be available with daytime, evening, and virtual scheduling options to offer flexibility.
  • Therapeutic approaches: In addition to the Positive Recovery curriculum, clients may experience various therapeutic approaches. These can include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, family education, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation.
  • Experiential and wellness activities: Clients can take part in wellness activities. These include music, art, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and recreational therapy.
  • Family support: Families can take part in workshops, educational sessions, therapy options, and hands-on activities. These are intended to support better communication and healthy family dynamics.

Aftercare

  • Ongoing recovery support: After treatment has finished, clients can participate in weekly support groups led by licensed counselors. This recovery support can go on for weeks, months, or years depending on an individual's needs.
  • Community connections and accountability: Clients may be connected with community recovery resources including 12-step support. Monthly progress reports may also be available to send to employers or licensing boards when required.
