Structured, Step-Down Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient care allows clients to live at home or in sober housing while receiving treatment. Positive Recovery Cinco Ranch offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a supportive outpatient program (SOP). During PHP, clients attend all-day treatment for a total of about 20 hours per week. In IOP, clients go to treatment sessions three or four days per week for three-hour sessions. The SOP is the most flexible, least intensive level. Clients in IOP can choose to attend daytime, evening, or virtual sessions, depending on what best fits their schedule.

“Positive Recovery” Approach

Programs are centered around a Positive Recovery curriculum, which runs in tandem with standard substance use treatment. This method is based on building personal strength, resilience, practical recovery tools, and coping skills to inspire long-term personal growth and overall well-being for a healthy, substance-free life.

Therapy and Life Skills

Therapists lead both individual and group therapy sessions using a mix of evidence-based methods and the Positive Recovery approach. Life skills training is also provided to help clients thrive while gaining independence as they grow in their recovery. Holistic complements include mediation, art, and music therapy.

Family Involvement

Positive Recovery Cinco Ranch hosts family workshops to help loved ones heal together and understand each other better. These sessions involve educational lectures, family therapy sessions, and activities designed to boost interpersonal communication.

Aftercare Support

Knowing that the recovery process doesn’t end once outpatient programs are complete, the facility offers long-term continuing care. Licensed counselors lead weekly support groups for previous clients and host sober social events. Peers can stay in touch through these groups and activities to provide each other with mutual accountability and connection.
