Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who are medically stable and seeking outpatient treatment for substance use with or without co-occurring mental health concerns; are transitioning from residential treatment and need continued support; want to maintain work, school, or family responsibilities while receiving structured care; are interested in in-person or virtual treatment options; have private insurance or can self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Adults who require medically supervised detoxification, withdrawal management, or 24-hour residential care; have medical or withdrawal needs that require a higher level of care before outpatient treatment; are seeking residential accommodations or around-the-clock supervision.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Initial assessment: Before treatment, clients undergo a thorough intake evaluation to review their substance use history, medical history, mental health concerns, current medications, past treatment experiences, home environment, life responsibilities, and recovery goals. This is done to help individuals be placed in the most appropriate level of care.
  • Personalized treatment planning: Clients work with their counselors to develop a personalized care plan. The plan covers relapse prevention, recovery education, family involvement, discharge planning, and ways to build a supportive recovery network. Treatment plans are reviewed and adjusted throughout care as clients progress.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical team: Physicians can meet clients weekly in PHP and offer medication management when needed. Nursing staff are also available to support clients throughout their recovery. Medical staff track treatment progress and support clients with their personal medical and mental health concerns.
  • Primary counselor and therapists: A primary counselor works with the client during their stay. Additional counseling staff are there for support if the primary counselor is unavailable. Clients will also work with licensed counselors during group therapy.

Typical schedule

  • PHP: Clients usually participate in at least 20 hours of programming each week. Treatment includes the Positive Recovery curriculum, evidence-based therapies, and recreational or experiential activities, which may include music and art therapy.
  • IOP: Programming normally includes 9-12 hours of treatment each week over three to four days, usually lasting about eight weeks. Daytime, evening, and virtual scheduling options may be available.
  • Treatment methods: The facility uses the Positive Recovery curriculum. This is based on positive psychology and works with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family therapy, medications for addiction treatment (MAT), and other evidence-based treatments.
  • Counseling and therapy: Treatment includes individual and group counseling with family or couples therapy, relapse prevention education, and recovery-focused support. Trauma-related counseling, anger management, 12-Step facilitation, and telehealth therapy can also be included based on individual needs.

Aftercare

  • Extended recovery support: The facility provides a 120-day recovery pathway for eligible self-pay clients. This includes PHP, IOP, on-campus sober living, and one year of aftercare. This program helps clients stay on track with their recovery. It offers additional structure and support after traditional outpatient treatment.
  • Ongoing support: Recovery support includes discharge and aftercare planning, continued outpatient care when needed, and follow-up after treatment. Clients can also get help connecting with self-help groups, alumni or peer support meetings, housing resources, and community services.
