Medical Detox and Trauma-Informed Therapy

Clients receive 24-hour care from doctors and nurses to manage symptoms safely, with medications for addiction treatment (MAT) administered as needed. The program also includes trauma-informed counseling and evidence-based therapies. These include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to change harmful thought patterns and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help women build coping skills. Group and individual sessions are balanced with family or couples therapy when appropriate.

Specialized Support for Women and Mothers

This program is designed for adult women, including those who are pregnant or postpartum, with treatment adapted to each client’s needs. Care is trauma-informed and addresses the layered challenges many women face, such as co-occurring mental health concerns, past experiences of domestic or sexual violence, or justice involvement. Women also have access to 12-step groups for ongoing peer support and guidance.

Recovery Services and Primary Health Care

Women are provided with primary medical care, support for chronic health conditions, and counseling to quit smoking or vaping if desired. Aftercare planning includes connections to self-help groups, as well as naloxone education. Recovery support can involve housing assistance, peer mentoring, and employment support as needed. Case managers are available to guide clients through legal, financial, or family-related challenges. Crisis intervention services are also available. Peer recovery coaches maintain contact for up to a year after discharge, offering encouragement as women transition into long-term recovery.

Affordable, Accessible Treatment

Admissions are open 24/7, which can be crucial for clients in crisis. Assessments are available immediately with no waitlist, ensuring that women can begin care when they are ready. The program follows a mission-driven model that prioritizes service regardless of income, with flexible payment structures and a policy that no client is turned away even if they cannot pay. For women who may be facing unstable housing, legal pressures, or child custody concerns, this approach removes barriers that may otherwise prevent them from seeking treatment. The program also offers transportation assistance and language support in Spanish, Polish, and sign language.
