Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults needing a high level of support for substance use, significant psychiatric symptoms, or both; needing medical withdrawal management before continuing treatment; comfortable receiving treatment in a large treatment center; seeking a highly structured program.
Not a fit if: Adults seeking a small, intimate setting; looking for a residential program with unstructured free time; looking for in-person family contact or regular access to their phone; needing support for symptoms of eating disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or moderate to severe developmental disabilities.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Evaluation and treatment planning: Patients receive a psychiatric evaluation upon arrival, and treatment plans use an assessment-led approach to determining client needs. Admissions staff are available 24/7, and transportation to the facility may be available.
- Various approaches to treatment: Lakeview uses a multidisciplinary approach, combining behavioral, experiential, and medication-based therapies.
Who you will meet with
- Psychiatrist: Psychiatrists meet with clients to complete the initial assessment and help plan care.
- Individual therapist: Clients are assigned an individual therapist whom they meet with once a week, with sessions focusing on emotional and environmental triggers, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and preparing for life after discharge.
- Counselors: Counselors facilitate daily group sessions.
- Medical and behavioral health team: Doctors and nurses manage medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and provide medical support and oversight, while behavioral health technicians provide day-to-day support and supervision.
Typical schedule
- Structured daily programming: Clients attend groups every day, with sessions led by both counselors and peers.
- Breaks are structured around meals: Breaks are somewhat limited and occur mostly around mealtimes; the facility serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Downtime: Clients have designated downtime during which they can call loved ones before returning to group programming.
Living experiences and amenities
- Accommodations: Clients stay in shared, semi-private rooms with large windows and lakefront views. Private rooms may be available for an additional charge. Packing guidance prohibits clothing with strings or hoods, shoes with laces, and items with electrical cords.
- Recreation: The facility has access to nature, a large gym, and recreational areas for playing games and relaxing.
- Family connections and support: In-person visitation is not permitted, and clients are not allowed to have cell phones while in residential treatment, but clients can make outgoing calls to loved ones during designated downtime. Family therapy, education, and other support are also available.
Aftercare
- Comprehensive discharge planning: The team develops comprehensive discharge plans and works with clients to connect them to the resources they need to continue recovery.
- Pathways to lower levels of care: A PHP and an IOP are available as lower-intensity options after inpatient stabilization. Telehealth PHP and IOP options can offer further support and flexibility.
Pre-admissions experience
We conducted a series of pre-admissions calls, the most recent on September 16, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.
We spoke with a representative from Lakeview Behavioral Health, and they were able to provide basic information about program structure. However, audio issues and limited detail made it difficult to get a clear understanding of the program and admissions experience. The representative was polite, but the conversation provided limited opportunity for in-depth discussion or personalized guidance.

View all facilities in FloridaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
