Trauma-Informed and Routine-Oriented Care

The 60-day residential program provides a structured yet supportive environment tailored to youth with moderate to high treatment needs. Clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy alongside recreation, wellness education, and life skills development. Staff emphasize emotional safety and resilience-building through a trauma-informed approach that meets teens where they are.

Dual Diagnosis Support and MAT Integration

While detox services are not offered, the program supports teens who are prescribed buprenorphine or naltrexone elsewhere as part of their recovery. Staff are trained to address co-occurring mental health disorders, including trauma-related challenges and behavioral health concerns, within a developmentally appropriate framework.

Education, Recovery Skills, and Family Support

The program incorporates academic support and vocational readiness to help teens regain stability in school or work environments. Family therapy and parent education are built into treatment to improve communication and build support systems that last beyond discharge. Aftercare planning includes referrals to community-based services and recovery-aligned routines to support long-term healing.

Focus on Underserved Youth and Inclusive Access

Summit SUD Program serves youth who may be impacted by trauma, justice system involvement, or unstable housing. Specialized services are available for pregnant or parenting teens, youth with HIV, and those with histories of violence or abuse. The program accepts Medicaid and state-funded insurance, making care accessible to families who may face barriers to treatment elsewhere.
