Family-First Treatment for Women

The center combines substance use treatment with support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Care is trauma-informed and designed for women who often carry both parenting and recovery responsibilities. Mothers do not have to choose between getting help and staying with their children, as residential beds for children and licensed childcare are provided. Specialized services are available for pregnant and postpartum women.

Residential and Flexible Outpatient Care

Care options include residential treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP) for those needing daily support, partial hospitalization (PHP) for a higher level of care without overnight stays, and regular outpatient therapy. This flexibility allows mothers to choose treatment that fits with their needs and responsibilities. Residential programs typically last about 30 days but can range from two weeks to three months, giving clients the time they need to stabilize before stepping down to less intensive, community-based care.

Evidence-Based Therapies and MAT

Treatment combines proven therapies with medications for addiction treatment (MAT) when needed to help ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Clients who receive prescriptions elsewhere are also supported. Counseling services are evidence-based and trauma-informed, and can be adapted to address the lasting impact of abuse. Stress management and coping skills training are offered to provide tools for daily life. Individual, group, family, and couples counseling give women the opportunity to heal both personally and within their closest relationships.

Practical Recovery Support

Transportation assistance is available to help clients get to appointments. Housing services, case management, and connections to social services are also provided, as well as employment counseling and job training. Children benefit from dedicated services and therapy of their own as appropriate. Integrated primary care is also available, helping women and families address various health needs.

Aftercare and Alumni Program

The center emphasizes aftercare and long-term support, beginning with discharge planning early in treatment. Women leave with a clear plan for continuing care and relapse-prevention tools, including naloxone training and overdose education. Alumni can take part in follow-up check-ins, mentoring, and peer support groups that provide connection during the transition back to independent living. Parenting classes and family counseling are offered to help mothers maintain structure and support at home.
