Medications for Addiction Treatment and Rapid Access

The center is part of a network recognized for its use of medications for addiction treatment (MAT). The program works with certified MAT physicians and uses medications such as buprenorphine with naloxone and naltrexone, including an extended-release injectable option, to support recovery from opioid and alcohol use disorders. An extensive telehealth system allows many clients to connect with a MAT prescriber within hours, which can ease withdrawal symptoms and may prevent the need for more intensive inpatient detox. The program can also support people whose MAT prescriptions come from outside providers.

Counseling, Trauma Support, and Co-Occurring Care

Clinical care combines substance use counseling with approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, Matrix Model groups, contingency management and motivational incentives, anger management, relapse prevention, trauma-related counseling, and 12-step work. The program treats substance use along with co-occurring mental health concerns and offers services for issues such as trauma and gambling disorder. Education covers substance use, general health topics, and HIV or AIDS, and clients can participate in individual, group, family, and couples counseling, as well as self-help groups.
