Medical substance use detox

The program is designed to help clients safely stabilize and manage withdrawal symptoms before moving on to the next step in their substance use treatment. Clinical staff monitor clients, administer MAT when needed, and provide fluids and healthy meals. Clients are also given plenty of time to rest in a calm, controlled environment. Once clients are stable, staff can refer them to residential treatment to continue their recovery progress.

Step-down residential treatment

Ascensa Health offers residential treatment for clients who have completed detox and are ready to start structured daily programming. Separate programs are offered for men and women. The men’s program has 52 beds, and the women’s program takes place in a smaller environment of 18 beds. This stage of care consists of individual and group therapy, educational groups, life skills training, and relapse prevention. The program also offers employment support and help transitioning to stable housing before clients graduate.

Full treatment continuum and co-occurring mental health care

The broader health network at Ascensa Health provides a full continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment. This includes detox, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and recovery support services. Clinicians can prescribe MAT in all levels of care for clients who need them as part of their recovery. Co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety are treated alongside substance use by clinicians trained in both.
