Residential Care for Women and Mothers

Designed specifically for women, including those who are pregnant or parenting, the program makes it possible for mothers to bring their children with them into care. Residential beds for children and on-site child care reduce barriers to entering treatment, ensuring that parenting responsibilities are supported. This family-centered approach helps create a stable foundation where women can focus on recovery while maintaining bonds with their children in a safe environment.

Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Approaches

Clients receive individual and group therapy that draws on proven approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed counseling. Twelve-step facilitation offers additional peer-based support, while telehealth expands access when needed. Women with opioid or alcohol use disorders may use medications for addiction treatment (MAT) prescribed through outside providers. Integrated primary and mental health services ensure that physical and emotional needs are addressed together.

A Supportive and Structured Environment

Residential stays can be short or long-term, depending on individual progress, with treatment plans adapted to each woman’s needs. Days often include group sessions on decision-making, stress management, and communication skills. A structured, consistent schedule provides stability, helping women move from crisis to recovery at a pace that feels sustainable.

Recovery Services and Resources

Peer mentoring, recovery coaching, and support groups are offered to help create a sense of community. The program also provides practical resources such as employment counseling, housing assistance and connections to social services as needed. Specialized programming is available for women with trauma histories and co-occurring conditions, veterans, and women affected by chronic pain. Domestic violence support is also available.

Emphasis on Accessibility

Transportation assistance is available to reduce barriers to treatment access, which can be particularly helpful for women managing parenting responsibilities. Sign-language interpretation is provided for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. A sliding fee scale is available to help keep treatment affordable.
