Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who need treatment for both substance use and mental health conditions; want access to multiple outpatient levels of care within the same organization; value psychiatric support alongside therapy and medication management; are seeking treatment for concerns such as alcohol or substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, or bipolar disorder; and are interested in a combination of evidence-based therapies and wellness-focused services.
  • Not a fit if: Individuals are seeking treatment exclusively for mental health concerns without addiction-related services; want a fully virtual treatment experience; are looking for highly specialized programming designed for a specific population such as veterans, executives, or young adults; or prefer a luxury-focused treatment environment over a program centered on clinical care, structure, and recovery support.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Intake assessment: Prior to admission clients undergo a phone assessment where the clinical team will determine what level of care a client needs.
  • Personalized treatment plan: Before treatment starts, clients take clinical assessments. These look at their substance use history, mental health needs, medical history, recovery goals, and other factors that might influence care. Findings from the assessments help clinicians develop an individualized care plan, which may include addiction treatment, mental health services, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management.

Who you will meet with

  • Psychiatrists and medical providers: Psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff offer psychiatric evaluations and manage medications, support withdrawal, and track a client's health during treatment.
  • Therapists and clinical staff: Clients meet with therapists, group facilitators, and other clinical professionals who provide individual therapy, group therapy, recovery education, and ongoing treatment support.
  • Case managers and support staff: Case managers and support staff coordinate treatment, discharge planning, and aftercare services. Behavioral health technicians monitor a client's wellbeing and assist with daily activities and programming.

Typical schedule

  • Daytime programming: During the day clients will participate in group therapy sessions, individual counseling appointments, psychoeducational groups, and activities that help them build recovery skills. Types of programming can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed therapy. Holistic and wellness opportunities are also available like yoga, meditation, nutrition counseling.
  • PHP program: The PHP program involves intensive treatment during the day and the ability to apply new recovery skills in the real-world settings outside of treatment hours while receiving continued support from physicians, nurses, therapists, and recovery groups.
  • IOP program: The IOP program is best for clients who are stepping down from higher levels of care. It aims to help individuals balancing treatment with their outside responsibilities by providing support without 24-hour oversight.

Aftercare

  • Continuing care: As a client progresses in their recovery they can move through PHP, IOP, and standard outpatient treatment within the same organization. Additional support may include relapse prevention planning, aftercare planning, support meetings, and ongoing outpatient services.
  • Recovery support services: Clients may also receive assistance with employment counseling, professional re-entry support, alumni connections, and follow up from staff members to check in on them after completing treatment.
