Seminole Ctr for Co Occurring Disorder is designed for adults living with both serious mental illness and substance use disorders. As part of Aspire Health Partners, the program brings mental health and substance use treatment together, helping clients work on psychiatric symptom management and substance use reduction at the same time. Care commonly includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery-oriented group support.

Residential Setting With 24-Hour Clinical Structure

The program operates in a residential setting in Sanford, offering 24-hour structure for adults who need a higher level of support. The environment is non-luxury, smoke-free, and designed for stability rather than amenities, with accessibility features available. Residential care includes on-site withdrawal management (detox), supporting people stepping down from active substance use while remaining engaged in mental health care.

Comprehensive Assessment and Ongoing Treatment Planning

Treatment begins with comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, which help guide placement, level of care, and ongoing treatment planning. Clients may participate in individual, group, and family counseling, along with skill-building focused on daily functioning, symptom management, and relapse prevention. Medication Support Within Coordinated Care
