A Stable and Structured Setting for Early Recovery
Rosecrance Greendale House provides a sober living environment designed for adults and young adults who benefit from ongoing structure after residential treatment or during early recovery. The home features 10 apartments and 24-hour supervision, giving residents a dependable place to practice new habits, rebuild routines, and focus on their well-being without the pressures of unstable housing.
Convenient Access to Therapy and Psychiatric Services
Located across from the Rosecrance Harrison Campus, Greendale House offers residents easy access to outpatient therapy, psychiatric services, and medication management. This proximity helps people stay connected to care — particularly those managing co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges. Individual and group therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse-prevention counseling, and 12-step meetings are available to support daily stability and progress.
Skill Building for Long-Term Independence
Programming emphasizes practical skills that help residents move toward independent living. Life-skills development, interpersonal skills training, and employment counseling give residents tools to navigate work, education, and community settings with more confidence. Support with creating healthy routines, managing finances, and strengthening coping skills helps reduce common barriers that make reintegration difficult for many people in recovery.
Community, Accountability, and Peer Support
Greendale House fosters a community-centered environment where residents can connect with peers who are working toward similar goals. Recovery coaching, peer mentoring, and self-help groups help reduce isolation — a common challenge after treatment — and create a sense of shared accountability. Regular check-ins and group activities support residents in maintaining structure, recognizing risk factors, and practicing stability in day-to-day life.
Services That Reduce Barriers to Care
The program offers case management, assistance with obtaining social services, housing support, and transportation assistance. These services can make it easier for residents to attend appointments, maintain employment or training commitments, and address practical needs that influence long-term health and recovery.
Planning Ahead for Life After Sober Living
Discharge planning and continuing-care recommendations help residents transition toward increasing independence. Staff work with each person to identify next steps — whether securing housing, accessing additional mental health support, or connecting with ongoing recovery resources in the community. The goal is to equip residents with the skills, stability, and connections they need to succeed beyond the program.
