Residential Treatment and Detox

Harmony House offers residential treatment and medical detox for adults who need a structured environment to regain stability. Clients begin with a substance use and mental health assessment, followed by an individualized plan adapted to their needs. The weekly schedule includes about 30 hours of clinician-led groups covering topics like relapse prevention and coping strategies, alongside individual counseling. Residential detox supports withdrawal, with medications for addiction treatment (MAT) available as needed.

Support for Parents, Veterans, and Adults With Complex Needs

The program serves a broad mix of adults, including women, pregnant and postpartum women, men, older adults, veterans, and parents. Survivors of trauma or sexual abuse have access to trauma-related counseling and group work focused on understanding grief, rebuilding trust, and navigating relationship dynamics. Clients involved with the justice system can access services designed to help them stabilize and reconnect with community expectations after discharge.

Life Skills, Vocational Services, and Transition Planning

Life at Harmony House includes targeted work on daily functioning, from social-skills groups to vocational and educational support like employment counseling, résumé skills, and help exploring training programs. These services help clients prepare for financial independence and stable routines after treatment. Case management connects people to community housing resources, benefits, and medical or mental health follow-up care. Transportation assistance helps clients attend appointments and re-establish care in the community. Before leaving, clients work on discharge planning and can continue into aftercare services, which include recovery coaching, peer mentoring, and self-help groups.

Community Connection and Optional Spiritual Support

Group recovery activities are a central part of the program, including 12-step meetings, peer support groups, and opportunities for clients to share progress and setbacks. These groups help clients rebuild social networks and strengthen accountability — key factors for many people transitioning out of residential care. The program also offers optional spiritual support, including faith coaching or chapel services.
