A luxury facility with a comfortable, non-clinical feel

The United Recovery Project provides a warm, inviting space where clients can receive around-the-clock medical monitoring and support in a comfortable, private setting rather than a highly clinical environment. Clients receive 24/7 residential addiction treatment at the facility that’s just minutes from the beach and offers access to the Florida coast for off-site recreational activities.

Treatment includes structured clinical care alongside experiential therapies

Clients meet with a psychiatrist and medical doctor during the first week and participate in individual therapy, daily group sessions, and daily 12-Step meetings. Treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), anger management, and relapse prevention, balanced with creative, physical, and experiential activities. Equine therapy, art therapy, and music therapy are available, as are nutritional programming, health and wellness services, and fitness.

Support for substance use and co-occurring mental health needs

The facility treats alcohol and a range of drug-related substance use disorders alongside co-occurring anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, stress, and trauma. Gender-specific programming and housing are offered, giving clients opportunities to work with their same-gender peers.

A step-down path that helps to bridge treatment and everyday life

The United Recovery Project offers a broad continuum of care that includes withdrawal management, residential treatment, and outpatient programs. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides daily treatment for clients returning home or to sober living, and the intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers ongoing support while reducing treatment intensity. Standard outpatient treatment is available, and the facility helps connect alumni with recovery resources and local support groups.

An emphasis on continued connection

The post-treatment community is a significant part of this program. Aftercare can include ongoing individual and group therapy and sober living, and alumni can participate in monthly meetings and special events. There is also a private Facebook community for alumni who are no longer in the South Florida area, as well as an ongoing alumni newsletter.
