The program also offers transportation assistance and outreach, along with referrals to community resources such as housing services, job training, domestic violence advocacy, medical and dental care, legal services, and support groups. For those who need more structure, the adult residential program accepts referrals from across Alaska.

A Clear Intake Process and Individualized Service Planning

Care begins with intake paperwork and an assessment with a master’s-level clinician or substance use counselor to determine the most appropriate services. Treatment planning can include community support, therapeutic behavioral health groups and/or individual sessions, case management, and connections to outside community support groups. For clients under 21, the process includes additional forms and requires a guardian or parent at the assessment, along with documentation related to custody or third-party involvement when applicable.

Long-Term Residential Support With a Home-Style Routine

The residential program is structured as a family-style environment with peer support. Residents take part in shared responsibilities like cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation, with communal dinners and group-set menus. The program is organized in phases, with clear tasks to complete before moving forward. Alongside a focus on abstinence and recovery skills, the residential setting also addresses co-occurring needs and practical stability, such as building healthier community connections and working toward economic self-sufficiency, before returning to everyday life.
