Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who need residential mental health treatment in a structured, supportive setting; are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar-related symptoms, or other complex mental health concerns; prefer individualized treatment planning and a home-like environment; want family involvement in treatment when appropriate; and have private insurance or can self-pay.

  • Not a fit if: Individuals who are seeking a traditional addiction-focused residential rehab program; require medical detox services; prefer a highly luxury-focused treatment experience with extensive resort-style amenities; need unrestricted family visitation during residential treatment; or rely solely on Medicaid or Medicare coverage.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Pre-admission assessment: Before admission, clients complete a pre-assessment phone screening for staff to evaluate clinical needs and determine the most appropriate level of care. Insurance and payment coverage will be verified during this call as well.

  • Admission process: During admission clients fill out intake paperwork, undergo a urine drug screening, a safety body search, psychiatric and psychological evaluations, and a medical assessment.

  • Individualized treatment planning: Care plans are built between the patient and clinicians who ask detailed questions to understand symptoms, challenges, goals, and support needs. These plans are adjusted to fit the client need and are not standardized. Family goals can be included into treatment plans and family members can participate in treatment and recovery planning.

Who you will meet with

  • Clinical team: Clients may work with a psychiatrist, psychologist, primary therapist, medication management providers, and other medical team members who oversee mental health treatment, therapy, psychiatric care, and medication needs.
  • Support staff: Case managers and group facilitators help with coordinating care, support treatment goals, and assist with discharge and recovery planning.
  • Outside specialists: Outside specialists may be brought in for trauma-focused groups, medication management, and education and recovery specialty groups.

Typical schedule

  • Structured daily programming: The days are structured with therapy groups, educational groups, recovery-focused programming, individual therapy appointments and psychiatric and medication-management appointments as needed.
  • Therapeutic practices: Treatment may include evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), exposure response prevention (ERP), motivational interviewing, and trauma-focused therapies, along with experiential therapies, mindfulness practices, art therapy, and music therapy.
  • Recovery and personal growth activities: Clients can join community recovery activities and events organized by the facility. They can also journal and take part in exercises led by their therapist.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Housing for PHP clients: Supportive housing exists independently of treatment services covered by insurance. Cell phones are also generally permitted for PHP clients.
  • Living arrangements and amenities: Clients live in a residential, home-like setting intended to feel calming and restorative. Shared and private spaces allow clients to relax between treatments. They can also have a gym membership, with transport available several times a week.

Aftercare

  • Step-down care: Continued treatment is available through outpatient therapy, medication management, PHP, IOP, and other services offered by the same organization.
  • Continued support: Follow-ups for case management, reviews of client goals, and connections to community resources are also available after treatment.
