Gender-Specific Tracks That Foster Safety and Depth
Men and women participate in distinct clinical tracks, with separate group therapies, peer communities, and trauma-informed approaches tailored to gendered experiences of addiction and recovery. This structure creates emotional safety for clients to speak openly, especially those with histories of trauma, relationship challenges, or identity issues. Staff are trained to understand how gender shapes addiction and healing, and therapy groups often focus on themes like vulnerability, boundaries, and rebuilding trust.
Integrating the Mountainscape Into Therapy
Set on seven wooded acres in the foothills of Coloradoās Front Range, the Morrison campus includes a geodesic dome, on-site gym, and outdoor spaces used for group therapy, movement, and reflection. The natural environment and outdoor activitiesāsuch as hiking, rock climbing, and nature-based therapyāare designed not just for recreation, but to foster resilience and self-awareness. Getting clients outside of the clinical setting encourages vulnerability and promotes healing.
Family Support That Prepares Loved Ones for Whatās Next
Rather than offering intensive family therapy, the program emphasizes education, communication strategies, and support during the later stages of careāespecially as clients prepare for discharge. Families are invited to learn about addiction recovery, develop healthy boundaries, and prepare for the realities of supporting a loved one after treatment. This structure ensures that family involvement aligns with each clientās readiness, helping to reduce conflict and support lasting recovery. By the time a client is stepping down to outpatient care or sober living, families have the tools they need to participate in recovery without overstepping.
Life Skills That Stick
Clients gradually take on more responsibility as they move through treatment. That includes meal planning, vocational prep, community service, and relapse prevention work tailored to their needs. For many, the structure helps rebuild not just sobrietyābut confidence, routines, and social connection.
What Patients Say
Reviews highlight the centerās positive impact on both early sobriety and long-term recovery. Many cite compassionate staff, quality care during detox, and a sense of respect and nonjudgment throughout treatment. Some critical feedback points to occasional communication issues and rigid program transitions, but these are far outweighed by accounts of personal growth and lasting change.
