Military-Centered Care in a Secure, Supportive Setting
Patriot Rehabilitation Services offers behavioral health treatment exclusively for veterans and active-duty military members. Situated in a residential neighborhood of New Iberia, Louisiana, the facility provides a structured, secure environment where clients can begin recovery among peers who understand the military experience. The program supports healing from trauma, PTSD, substance use, and other co-occurring mental health disorders with a strong focus on return to civilian life.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment Across Levels of Care
The facility’s 24-bed capacity supports individualized treatment plans at every stage, from detox to outpatient. Clients can access short- and long-term residential care, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient services. Treatment plans draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing, and trauma-specific counseling. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric care are also available, including for clients managing HIV or hepatitis.
No-Cost Access Through the Patriot Program
Qualifying veterans can receive treatment at no cost through funding from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and TRICARE. The Patriot Program removes common barriers by offering transportation assistance, discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and peer mentoring. Clients also have access to vocational support and job-readiness programming to ease their transition post-treatment.
Support for Complex Needs and Reintegration
Patriot serves military-affiliated adults of all genders, including those with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), chronic pain, eating disorders, and involvement in the justice system. Treatment teams include military-trained staff who understand the psychological toll of service. The program also encourages family involvement and long-term community reintegration as part of its clinical model.
Structured, Goal-Driven Recovery Without Distractions
Patriot emphasizes structured, evidence-based care in a focused therapeutic environment. While the facility does not provide luxury amenities or recreational programming, it offers activity therapy and life-skills development to support independence and post-treatment success. This approach fosters accountability and progress in a setting built around shared experience and service.
