Residential Recovery in a Community Setting

Acadiana CARES’ Seasons of Serenity program offers a structured, low-intensity residential environment designed to support adults working toward recovery. The 36-bed facility provides 21- to 45-day stays, with extended programs available for those who need additional time to reinforce new routines. The setting is intentionally community-focused, giving clients a safe place to stabilize, develop recovery skills, and prepare for independent living.

Integrated, Evidence-Based Treatment

Programs combine therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, 12-step facilitation, and trauma-informed counseling. Treatment also addresses co-occurring conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia. Medications for addiction treatment, including oral and injectable naltrexone, are available for alcohol and opioid use disorders. Onsite primary care, HIV and hepatitis treatment, and health education support overall wellness alongside recovery.

Targeted Services for Underserved Populations

As part of a nonprofit focused on community health, Seasons of Serenity provides specialized support for people living with HIV/AIDS, survivors of trauma, and those experiencing housing instability. Transportation assistance, case management, and connections to social services help reduce barriers to care.
