Personalized, accessible treatment

Treatment plans begin with an assessment so the care team can understand a client’s substance use history, health needs, recovery goals, and life circumstances. From there, the team creates a treatment plan, which includes medication, counseling, and support services tailored to the patient’s needs. As a fully outpatient program, BHG offers flexible scheduling, walk-in appointments, and same-day admissions whenever possible, making it easier for patients to receive care while continuing to work, attend school, or care for loved ones.

FDA-approved medications

The program offers FDA-approved medications to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms when appropriate. BHG’s providers will work with each client to determine which FDA-approved medication is the right fit based on medical history, treatment goals, and individual needs. Throughout treatment, BHG’s care team will continue to monitor treatment progress and make adjustments to help clients stay on track.

Behavioral counseling

Through individual and group counseling, BHG's licensed counselors help patients strengthen coping skills, navigate life's challenges, address co-occurring mental health concerns, and develop healthy strategies that support lasting recovery.

Case management and recovery support

BHG's care team helps connect clients with community resources and practical support for challenges such as transportation, insurance, and access to additional healthcare services. By addressing the barriers that can affect recovery, BHG helps clients build a stronger foundation for long-term wellness.

Client reviews

Reviews of BHG Lansing Treatment Center show a mix of recovery successes and practical frustrations. Clients frequently credit treatment and individual staff members with helping them make meaningful changes, while scheduling, clinic procedures, wait times, and other administrative processes draw more mixed feedback.

  • Treatment quality & outcomes (80% positive): Many reviewers describe significant recovery outcomes, including several who credit the clinic with years of recovery or helping them regain stability in their lives. A smaller number raise concerns about aspects of treatment or medication management. “I have been sober 13 years & I have BHG to thank.”
  • Staff & care experience (75% positive): Counselors, nurses, and front-desk staff receive frequent praise for kindness and personal support. A few reviewers describe negative experiences with staff. “The staff here is wonderful!”
  • Access & process: Some reviewers appreciate relatively quick dosing or describe an easy transition into the clinic, while others report difficulties involving scheduling, paperwork, counselor availability, travel, wait times, testing procedures, or program policies. Several different process concerns appear across reviews, rather than one single issue accounting for all of the negative feedback. - Facility & environment: Feedback about the physical setting is favorable, with reviewers specifically mentioning cleanliness or comparing the clinic favorably with other options. “Very nice people, very clean.”
  • Support & community: Reviews mention meaningful personal encouragement from counselors and other staff, including reviewers who describe feeling supported through long periods of recovery. “they will do everything to support you along the way.”
