Specialized Treatment Just for Women

The center’s care approach is tailored to women and female-identifying individuals, creating a space where gender-specific experiences can be safely explored. This supportive environment helps encourage openness, particularly for women healing from trauma, identity-related stress, or relationship challenges. Group sessions encourage shared understanding and mutual support among women who can often relate to each other’s situations and backgrounds, while individual therapy addresses personal goals and explores histories. The all-female setting promotes trust, emotional safety, and a stronger sense of community

Targeted Evidence-Based Therapies

Evidence-based therapies at the center are used to address women’s mental health requirements. Depending on individual needs, these include cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBTp) to reduce distress and improve function and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) to help women process trauma in a safe, structured way. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) aids in emotional regulation through the practice of present-moment awareness, while eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) helps reduce the impact of traumatic memories. These approaches support the restoration of stability and self-confidence in daily life.

Spacious Facility with Modern Amenities

The facility accommodates up to eight women. This small group size helps ensure a greater level of individual attention for each client. Women stay in shared rooms, with private room options available. Private therapy spaces, spacious common areas, and a cozy in-home movie theater help women feel as comfortable as possible during their stay. Outdoor gardens, walking paths, and quiet seating spaces welcome mindfulness and reflection. Fitness and recreation are encouraged through dedicated yoga, meditation, and exercise areas.

Equine Therapy for Emotional Healing

Residents participate in weekly equine therapy, a hands-on interaction with horses that can help build trust, emotional regulation, and nonverbal connection. Working with horses can help women identify and manage their emotional responses and build confidence in a calming, natural setting. For many women, equine therapy offers a powerful, nonjudgmental way to form therapeutic bonds. This can pave a pathway for emotional breakthroughs and serve as a compassionate way to process trauma.

A Place for Growth and Transformation

Clients frequently describe their stay at AMFM Mental Health Treatment as transformative. Many highlight the compassion of the staff, the supportive peer community, and the personal growth they experienced during treatment. Reviews also suggest a facility responsive to feedback and committed to improvement.
