Walk-In Access and Tailored Levels of Care
Care begins with comprehensive evaluations, offered on a walk-in basis so people can come in when they feel ready instead of waiting for an appointment. During the assessment, clients and counselors work together to identify needs and match the right level of care, from outpatient services to 24-hour residential treatment, creating a practical plan for next steps.
Residential Program
The Burlington residential program offers 24-hour support for adults in a dorm-style setting. Stays typically last 30–60 days, depending on progress toward treatment goals. The campus includes a recreation room, on-site activities, laundry access, and a client chore structure that builds daily routines. Before discharge, clients leave with a clear plan for ongoing services and support in the community.
Outpatient Services for Adolescents, Adults, and Families
Outpatient care is available to adolescents, adults, and families who want to stay connected to home, work, or school while receiving support. Services include evaluations, individual counseling, and group sessions focused on topics such as relapse prevention, the effects of substances on the brain, and coping skills for everyday stress. Treatment intensity can increase or decrease over time, allowing clients to adjust care as their situations change.
Peer Support and Recovery Management
Peer recovery coaching gives clients strengths-based support from people who understand addiction and recovery. Coaches can connect clients to resources and support any positive steps, whether that means working toward abstinence or reducing harm. After primary treatment, individualized recovery management services offer ongoing check-ins that can range from occasional visits to regular weekly meetings, helping clients maintain progress over the long term.
Support for Gambling, Trauma, and Health Education
In addition to substance use treatment, the program offers services for problem gambling and trauma-related counseling. Education on HIV, hepatitis, and general health helps clients understand how substance use affects the body and how to protect their health moving forward. Smoking and vaping cessation counseling, naloxone and overdose education, and mental health screening further support safety and whole-person wellness.
Practical Help With Housing, Work, and Transportation
The program provides case management, housing support, and assistance with obtaining social services, depending on client needs. Employment counseling and training, life-skills-focused groups, and vocational support through community partnerships help clients prepare for work and greater financial stability. Transportation assistance makes it easier to attend appointments and stay engaged in treatment, especially for those without reliable access to a car.
