Residential Care for Men in the Heart of Indianapolis

Turning Point Recovery Center provides ASAM 3.5 residential treatment for men referred through Indiana’s criminal justice system. Located in downtown Indianapolis, the CARF-accredited program offers an alternative to incarceration, combining 24/7 support, court advocacy, and individualized treatment plans that address both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.

Medications and Therapies Backed by Evidence

The program offers a wide range of medications for addiction treatment (MAT) and related health needs, including buprenorphine, naltrexone, acamprosate, disulfiram, clonidine, and nicotine replacement. Treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, trauma-informed counseling, anger management, and 12-step facilitation. Telehealth extends access to care during and after treatment.

Comprehensive Support Services

Services go beyond clinical treatment, offering integrated primary care, mental health services, and HIV/STD/TB/hepatitis testing. Recovery support includes case management, peer mentoring, recovery coaching, and vocational training to strengthen life after treatment. Family and couples counseling help rebuild relationships, while child care and transportation assistance make care more accessible for clients and families.

Planning for Recovery Beyond Treatment

Discharge services focus on long-term stability through overdose education, naloxone distribution, and structured aftercare with outcome follow-up. Clients also benefit from peer support groups, housing connections, and employment counseling to prepare for community reentry. Smoking is permitted in designated areas, while vaping is not.
