Small Group Size and Rejuvenating Amenities

With space for only eight clients at a time, the center offers a calm, retreat-like environment that balances comfort and privacy with therapeutic structure. Indoors, clients have access to shared living spaces, a lounge, and healthy meals prepared by a personal chef. Clients can choose to receive massage therapy and acupuncture treatments. Outdoor amenities include tranquil gardens, meditation areas, and access to lush island landscapes and nearby beaches.

Ocean and Nature Therapies Unique to Hawaii

The center integrates the island’s natural beauty into treatment through immersive, culturally informed therapies. A signature offering is dolphin-assisted therapy, where clients safely interact with wild dolphins in open water. This experience is designed to foster emotional openness and trust. Equine therapy and interactions with therapy dogs are also available. Weekly nature excursions, such as beach walks, snorkeling, hiking volcanic landscapes, and cultural site visits, offer both physical engagement and opportunities for spiritual reflection.

Holistic Dual-Diagnosis Care Including Treatment for Eating Disorders

Care is provided for clients navigating both addiction and complex mental health challenges, including disordered eating. Treatment combines clinical oversight with consistent, compassionate support from a multidisciplinary team. Clients receive meals from an on-site chef trained to support balanced nutrition and mindful eating habits. Individual and group sessions explore the underlying emotional drivers of behaviors, while body-based therapies help restore trust in physical cues and promote self-regulation.

Dedicated Programs for Veterans

The center provides trauma-informed care adapted specifically to veterans, with a focus on the psychological and emotional effects of service, including combat stress, survivor’s guilt, and post-deployment adjustment. Treatment plans are shaped by staff experienced in military culture, and the program integrates therapy with peer engagement to rebuild trust, accountability, and purpose. Veterans participate in small-group sessions that prioritize safety and shared experience, alongside individual counseling that addresses moral injury and identity shifts post-service.

Client Feedback Highlights Community and Compassion

Client reviews reflect overwhelmingly positive experiences, emphasizing the facility’s warm, respectful staff and the life-changing nature of the program. Clients value the strong sense of community, quality meals from an in-house chef, and access to holistic healing. Some feedback notes a heavy emphasis on 12-step programming and a desire for more individual therapy sessions, highlighting the importance of discussing therapeutic fit during the admissions process.
