Men’s Outpatient Program With Built-In Structure
EOSIS New Beginnings – Howard Lake provides licensed outpatient addiction treatment for adult men. The program is designed for clients who want structured care while maintaining daily responsibilities, including clients stepping down from inpatient treatment or starting outpatient care as a first level of support.
IOP and Outpatient Care Focused on Skills and Accountability
Services include intensive outpatient programming (IOP) and regular outpatient treatment, combining group counseling with individual sessions as needed. Programming covers substance use counseling, relapse prevention planning, recovery education, and 12-step facilitation. Life-skills education is part of the clinical approach, supporting practical routines that translate to home, work, and relationships. The program accepts clients who use medications for addiction treatment (MAT) when those medications are prescribed elsewhere.
Virtual IOP and Access Support That Reduce Barriers
A virtual IOP is available for Minnesota residents who have a private setting and internet access. Telehealth therapy is also part of the service mix, supporting clients who cannot attend in person. Transportation assistance is offered to help clients stay connected to scheduled care.
Supportive Housing and Continuing Care Connections
Supportive housing is available, with shared bedrooms in a community-style environment that emphasizes peer accountability. The setting includes common indoor space for downtime and connection, along with practical amenities such as onsite laundry, coffee and snacks, and designated smoking and vaping areas. Outdoor space supports seasonal activities, with access to nearby lake recreation. Treatment planning also includes assessment, case management, discharge planning, aftercare, peer support, self-help groups, and overdose education with naloxone.
