Faith-Based Residential Care for Men

Clay Crossing provides residential treatment for men ages 18 and older who are living with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Grounded in Christian principles of love, repentance, and forgiveness, the program focuses on healing the physical, emotional, and spiritual roots of substance use. Spiritual activities are available but not required, so men can engage at a level that aligns with their beliefs while working toward long-term recovery.

Rural Campus With Room To Reset

Located about 60 miles from Oklahoma City, the center sits on 400 acres of forested woods, ponds, and native grass fields. The original farmhouse serves as the main office, while clients stay in modern living quarters with indoor leisure spaces and gathering rooms with large TVs. The rural setting is intentionally removed from city pressures, giving men a chance to unplug from distractions, enjoy home-cooked meals, and spend time in nature as they focus on recovery.

Integrated Support for Substance Use, Mental Health, and Trauma

Clay Crossing uses an integrated approach to address substance use, mental health, and trauma in the same setting. Clients participate in one-on-one counseling, small group meetings, group lectures, and life skills training. Common approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, anger management, trauma-related counseling, and 12-step work. The program welcomes men who receive medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for alcohol or opioid use disorders from outside prescribers and offers nicotine replacement options.

Daily Structure, Life Skills, and Community Activities

Weekdays follow a clear routine that includes morning and afternoon groups, three scheduled meals, and evening study groups devoted to recovery work. Outside of therapy hours, men can walk trails, fish in several ponds, use the weight room and exercise equipment, or join group activities like basketball, volleyball, softball, disc golf, and cornhole. Education focuses on managing emotions, recognizing relapse triggers, strengthening spiritual practices for those who choose them, and building healthy ways to spend free time.

Family Connection and Practical Support After Treatment

Family contact is built into the program through scheduled phone calls, weekend visitation for approved loved ones, and progressively earned day or overnight passes. Case management, housing services, assistance with accessing social services, self-help groups, peer mentoring, and recovery coaching all aim to support a safer transition home. Aftercare and continuing care planning, naloxone and overdose education, and outcome follow-up help men maintain progress in the community.

Client Reviews
