Long-Term Residential Program for Teens
The center provides 24-hour residential care for adolescents ages 13–17 in a structured setting. Designed for youth facing substance use and complex mental health challenges, the program offers a minimum 90-day stay with intensive therapeutic support. Each week includes 30 hours of evidence-based therapy with licensed professionals. The small, 16-bed center allows for individual attention to each teen’s specific needs.
Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Treatment
Treatment plans focus on the underlying trauma and mental health issues that often drive substance use. Adolescents receive a blend of therapies adapted to meet clinical and emotional needs. The center also incorporates experiential therapies that help youth process trauma through action and reflection. Trauma-informed care shapes every aspect of the program, from how staff build trust to how therapy sessions are structured, ensuring adolescents feel safe, heard, and supported.
Life Skills Training and Family Therapy
The center equips adolescents with practical tools to navigate life after treatment. Teens engage in life skills training and attend job readiness programs that foster responsibility and self-confidence. Activities like gardening and hiking are woven into care to promote wellness and stress relief. Family therapy plays a central role, helping to repair strained relationships, strengthen communication, and involve caregivers in the healing process. By addressing emotional growth, functional skills, and family dynamics, Chrysalis supports a more stable and sustainable path to recovery.
Continuing Education with Academic Support
Adolescents are able to continue their schooling while in treatment, attending classes on campus with the goal of keeping them on track to return to their home school at the same academic level as their peers. The program works closely with each student’s school to coordinate assignments and support academic progress. If a student is behind or needs additional help, in-house accredited education is available to help them catch up. Preparation for GED exams is provided for older teens as needed.
