Day treatment for substance use and mental health

The PHP program offers focused clinical care for clients who need intensive treatment but do not require a monitored, 24/7 residential setting. This program can be an entry point to recovery for some clients, and a step-down transition for those who are coming from a residential program. Dedicated tracks are offered for substance use and mental health, as well as for co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions.

Evidence-based therapies and medication management

Some of the proven methods used by therapists are CBT, DBT, and MI, along with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). The approaches used depend on the individual client and their needs and goals. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed as needed to help ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings.

Mindfulness, education, and family support

To go along with clinical care, clients can participate in meditation sessions, which may help enhance inner balance, stress relief, and self-reflection. Psychoeducational sessions are held to teach clients about substance use, mental health, and related recovery topics. Family therapy sessions are an option when loved ones want to heal together.

Discharge planning

The Recovery Team North Little Rock provides case management services to help clients with practical needs before they finish the PHP program. This can include referrals to lower levels of outpatient care, such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) or regular outpatient sessions. Staff can also connect clients to community resources.
