Overview

Conveniently located to serve Lake Suzy, Murdock, Charlotte Harbor, Harbour Heights, and the surrounding areas, New Season Treatment Center - Port Charlotte provides outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a spectrum of treatment, counseling, and educational programming for those seeking recovery. With an emphasis on building and leaning into one’s support network, this outpatient treatment center also provides weekly family education counseling and aims to extend support systems beyond those within New Season.

IOP Opioid Treatment

  • Program consists of 3 weekly sessions of 3 hours each for as long as clinically suggested, starting at a minimum of 6 weeks.
  • Designed to create a psychologically healthy environment for increased well-being, while incorporating therapy, treatment, and recovery education.
  • Hours of dedicated individual and group therapy, as well as family education counseling.
  • Snacks and refreshments are provided during counseling sessions.
  • Opportunities to address other health and psychosocial needs, including housing, vocational, and medical needs, as well as financial assistance.

Educational Counseling for Clients and Their Families

  • Resiliency education helps clients enhance their awareness of their own strengths and ultimately build on them.
  • Family education counseling consists of weekly sessions to address familial issues stemming from behaviors associated with substance use disorder and lessons around how to minimize their impact on family relationships.

Dedicated Resources for Treatment

  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) can be utilized, such as methadone, buprenorphine or Suboxone to address withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
  • Referrals and medical exams to promote safety and long-term recovery.
  • Take-home medication for clients who meet certain criteria.
  • Confidentiality is a key component of New Season Treatment Center.
  • Treatment specialists include doctors, nurses, and counselors.
