Private, Natural Healing Environment

The center offers a quiet, nature-rich environment to help clients unwind and focus on treatment. The scenic forest and bayou inspire reflection, and there is an abundance of space for peers to relax together and offer mutual support. Clients stay in gender-specific units with no more than 10 others, providing opportunities for close community connection.

Full Continuum of Substance Use Care

A full continuum of care is located on one campus, from medically supervised detox and residential treatment to outpatient treatment and transitional housing. The availability of all these levels of care allows clients to step down gradually while maintaining treatment consistency. This structure eliminates the stress of having to change locations during the recovery process, and ensures more cohesive oversight by the care team.

12-Step Foundation and Frequent Therapy

As part of care plans, clients participate in daily chemical dependency process groups. Separate groups are offered for men and women, allowing for more focused and relatable peer support. Every week, clients receive individual counseling and attend appointments with a psychiatrist. The 12-step program serves as the cornerstone of treatment, with in-person Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings emphasized. Clients can also participate in optional spiritual services.

Treatment for Gambling Addiction and Co-Occurring Conditions

The center provides dual-diagnosis care for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions. This includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and trauma-informed therapy. The goal is to address substance use and mental health issues together, not separately, for comprehensive and effective recovery. Treatment for chronic pain and gambling addiction is also available.

Patient Reviews

Many clients describe their time at The Grove Recovery Center as life-changing, highlighting the compassionate, nonjudgmental staff and the strong impact of therapy and 12-step support on their recovery journeys. Some clients have shared concerns about the sober living component’s structure, underscoring the importance of discussing post-residential options during admission planning. Overall, reviews note effective dual diagnosis care and continued post-discharge engagement as key strengths of the program.
