Outpatient Care Adapted to Client Needs

With intensive outpatient (IOP) and general outpatient care options, Willow Oak offers flexibility to fit the schedules of working adults, students, and caregivers. Services are available both in-person and through telehealth. Evening virtual sessions are provided on a range of platforms, allowing clients to receive consistent care without disrupting their daily lives. Specialized telehealth groups, including anger management, dual-diagnosis support, and court-ordered programs, ensure continued access to care from home. Services are available in English, Creole, French, and Spanish.

Treatment for Underserved Populations

The center serves clients who often face barriers in accessing treatment. Programs are offered for adolescents, older adults, veterans, active-duty military families, pregnant and postpartum clients, and individuals involved in the justice system. It also supports people living with HIV/AIDS, trauma histories, or chronic pain. Care for gambling addiction and codependency challenges is available. The center is dedicated to creating a setting that respects clients’ backgrounds, identity, and specific life circumstances.

12-Step Integration and Gender-Specific Support Groups

The Twelve Steps are incorporated into the treatment approach, helping clients engage with structured peer recovery alongside therapy. This model supports accountability and connection, especially valuable for those with limited outside support. The facility offers gender-specific support groups, creating safe spaces where clients can discuss sensitive issues related to trauma, relationships, and gender identity. These focused group settings help encourage trust, allowing participants to explore recovery in ways that align with their lived experiences and corresponding challenges.

Family and Couples Counseling

Along with individual and group counseling services, the center offers family and couples counseling, recognizing that substance use often affects loved ones. These sessions help rebuild communication, address codependency, and resolve conflict with family when appropriate. Licensed counselors guide participants through structured conversations designed to create understanding and long-term support. Counseling is available both in-person and virtually, making it easier for families, including those separated by distance or scheduling conflicts, to participate actively in the recovery process.
