A Quiet Setting for Reflection and Reset
Located on 35 wooded acres in Monroe, Georgia, the facility offers a calming environment for recovery, complete with lakeside views, shaded walking trails, and therapy cows. Clients stay in a renovated 17,000 sq ft residence with semi-private rooms, shared meals, and access to coffee and snacks. Outdoor activities like fishing, basketball, and horseshoes help bring structure and peer connection into daily life.
Veteran and First Responder Program
The Tactical Recovery track is tailored to veterans, active-duty military, and first responders. This program focuses on trauma, trust, and post-service reintegration, creating space for shared experience and connection. Programming reflects the realities of these careers while offering evidence- and peer-based support.
Family Connection and Ongoing Community
Twin Lakes involves families through a two-day onsite program and weekend educational sessions. These opportunities help rebuild trust and communication while offering practical tools for life after treatment. After discharge, alumni stay connected through weekly meetings, social events, and outreach from a dedicated coordinator, fostering belonging and support through all stages of recovery.
What Patients Say
Patient reviews frequently highlight the warmth and dedication of the staff—many of whom are in recovery themselves and offer empathy from personal experience. Alumni describe a strong sense of community and praise the facility for providing practical tools that support sobriety in the real world. Some reviewers express concerns about the 12-step emphasis and occasional logistical challenges, but overall, feedback is overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing the life-changing impact of Twin Lakes.
