Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who want structured outpatient treatment while living at home; are stepping down from detox, residential treatment, or another program; need flexible scheduling options; want a community focused approach and to rebuild relationships; want active involvement in treatment planning.

  • Not a fit if: Adults who need 24-hour supervision or residential treatment; onsite housing; are seeking luxury amenities or resort-style accommodations; need highly structured inpatient medical care.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Intake and assessment: During initial intake, clients undergo an independent evaluation by the facility through separate intake appointments with a psychiatrist and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Treatment is informed through a review of previous care and discharge paperwork.
  • Individualized treatment plans: Findings from the assessment are used to develop a personalized care plan, with clients actively involved in the process. Goals are revisited during treatment and adjusted as progress is made and needs change.

Who you will meet with

  • Psychiatric and medical care: Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are provided by a psychiatrist, and ongoing medical support is provided by an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN).
  • Clinical support: A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and other clinicians provide assessments, therapy, and care planning during treatment.

Typical schedule

  • Flexible group schedules: Clients have flexible options for group therapy. Morning groups take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and evening group therapy runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to provide options for clients balancing recovery and work, family, school, or other daily responsibilities.
  • Treatment approach: Group therapy is a large part of the facility's programming and may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in addition to support for co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Family involvement: Family therapy, weekly support opportunities, and educational programming provide loved ones the opportunity to participate in the recovery process. Family involvement is encouraged by the facility and considered an important part of healing.

Aftercare

  • Aftercare planning: Personalized aftercare planning may include continued therapy, support groups, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Alumni and ongoing recovery support: The LEAP (Life Extraordinary Approach Process) alumni program supports clients beyond formal treatment with peer-to-peer coaching, leadership development, and weekend seminars. Clients have the ability to maintain continued involvement with the recovery community.

Pre-admissions experience

They were somewhat brief and did not offer much detail beyond what was asked, but they were transparent and knowledgeable about the practical steps for getting started.
