Integrated Outpatient Care for Substance Use and Mental Health

Outpatient treatment at DISC Village addresses substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions together. Care is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices, recognizing how mental health challenges can influence substance use and relapse. Services may include a combination of individual counseling, group therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The program treats concerns including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma-related symptoms, and anger.

Medications for Addiction Treatment Paired With Counseling

DISC Village offers medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders as part of its outpatient services. MAT combines prescribed medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to help reduce cravings and manage withdrawal symptoms. Medication services are supported by ongoing therapeutic care, allowing clients to address both physical and psychological aspects of substance use. A multidisciplinary team — including medical providers, nurses, counselors, case managers, and peer support specialists — works together to support engagement, monitor progress, and help clients stay connected to treatment over time.

Outpatient Services for Adults, Youth, and Specialized Populations

DISC Village provides outpatient programs for adults as well as youth ages 10 to 18. Youth substance use outpatient services typically run six to twelve weeks and include individual counseling, family counseling, and case management. The organization also serves veterans, individuals involved in the justice system, and people who have faced complex circumstances, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, and chronic relapse.

Case Management, Life Skills, and Recovery Support

A central part of the outpatient model is wraparound case management. Case managers help clients identify strengths, set realistic goals, and connect with resources that support recovery outside of therapy sessions. This may include assistance with transportation, housing, employment, or other community-based services. Life skills development and relapse prevention planning are integrated into care, helping clients practice communication, problem-solving, and daily routines.
